Choreographic Practice & Student Works
Ebb and Flow was a contemporary piece I set for the UC Dance Company. I was inspired by the duality of ocean waves, both calming and turbulent. The piece explored resilience and emotional tides through breath-driven movements and shifting dynamics.
Dance the Night Away was co-choreographed as a high-energy jazz performance for a University of Calgary Dinos athletic game. This piece was designed to energize the crowd, make them feel excited, and promote school spirit. The choreography focused on rhythm, teamwork, and stage presence.
In 同簪 (Hairpin), a Chinese classical dance solo set on a student, I drew from traditional classical movement vocabulary to convey elegance and control.
